Safeguarding

Ashley Down Schools Federation has clear procedures for Safeguarding. Our safeguarding policy can be found here and on our Policies page of this website.

Information is also available from the links at the bottom of this page or from our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs):

Julie Waldren (DSL at Brunel Field)                  Tracy Hayton (DSL at Ashley Down)

The Deputy DSLs are the Heads of School, Don Collins (at Brunel Field) and Amy Sood (at Ashley Down).

Our Safeguarding Governor is Mr Dan McHugh.

If you have concerns that you want to make the school aware of, please contact the designated person above. The designated person will then monitor any concerns and report where appropriate to social care if a child is deemed at risk of serious harm. Any information shared with us will be disclosed only to those staff who need to know for the purposes of child protection. Concerns will usually be shared with parent/child  by the designated person, unless to do so may place the child/ren at increased risk of harm. If there is doubt about this, the designated person will consult with social care.
